Customer support hero

Who are we?
Tournify is a leading platform for planning tournaments and leagues. Our software helps organizers run their sports events from registration all the way to the award ceremony. With more than 300,000 organizers using Tournify, we connect millions of players and fans around the world every year.
What will you be working on?
As a customer support hero, you'll be the first point of contact for our users: tournament and league organizers. They range from the local padel club and the teacher behind the school sports day to national federations and professional football clubs. You help them via email, chat, and sometimes by phone. It's your job to troubleshoot their challenges and make sure they receive timely, accurate, and helpful responses. You'll work closely with our developers to handle bugs, feature requests, and complex inquiries.
A lot happens within a startup, so you'll also put your versatility to use on various (back-office) tasks, such as maintaining our administration, writing knowledge articles, and optimizing workflows. This way, you're involved in everything that supports our customers and our team behind the scenes, with a lot of personal responsibility and room for new ideas.
Do you have a background in sales or marketing? Then there's plenty of room to help us grow as well. Think of reaching new organizers, setting up campaigns, or finding partners. We'd love to shape the role around your strengths.
What do we expect from you?
- You're fluent in Dutch and English, so you can support customers in their native language across our core markets. Speaking French is a big plus
- You have university-level analytical skills (HBO/WO), and you're customer-focused and tech-savvy. You work with software daily and enjoy trying out new AI tools to find smarter ways of working
- You love sports, whether you play, coach, or volunteer at your local club. You've taken part in or cheered at tournaments or leagues yourself, so you get what our organizers are working toward
- You're available at least 3 days a week, so that as a team we can provide support every day of the week
- You feel at home in a startup environment where you can truly make an impact as part of a small, close-knit team
What do we offer?
- A part-time contract of 12 to 30 hours per week. We'll agree on the number of hours together, based on your availability and preferences, your tasks, and the workload
- A gross hourly wage of €16 to €24, depending on your experience, plus 8% holiday allowance
- 30 holiday days (based on full-time, pro rata for your hours)
- A good pension scheme
- A hybrid work setup, combining remote work with time at our office in Rotterdam, along with flexible working hours
- A great role with lots of freedom, responsibility, and room to grow with Tournify
